Meet Our Dentists
Dr. Hasan Alkumru is a renowned prosthodontist with decades of clinical and academic experience. He has held faculty positions at both the University of Toronto and Western University, and is internationally recognized with over 100 publications and numerous keynote presentations worldwide. His clinical interests include fixed prosthodontics, laminate veneers, smile design, dental implants, and the management of TMJ disorders. Known for his precision, dedication, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Alkumru continues to shape the field through expert care and academic leadership.
Dr. Pinar Alkumru is an experienced orthodontist with a strong academic and clinical background. She earned her DDS from Istanbul University, and completed her MSc and PhD in Orthodontics at Ankara University. She later completed the highly selective DSATP in Orthodontics at the University of Toronto, where only one candidate is accepted each year.
Dr. Alkumru has been teaching at the University of Toronto for over 10 years, where she continues to contribute to orthodontic education. Internationally recognized through her publications and presentations, her clinical expertise includes MBT and SPEED brackets, Invisalign, functional orthopaedic treatments, orthographic surgery and a focus on personalized, patient-centered care. Passionate about her profession, she is known for her precision, warmth, and dedication to her patients.
Dr. Pavel Sectakof is a certified orthodontist with over 25 years of clinical experience and a distinguished background in dental education. He completed his DDS, MSc in Orthodontics, and specialty training at the University of Toronto, where he also served as an Assistant Professor in the departments of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sectakof is now part of the expert team at DentalPoint Specialists Clinic, bringing his deep knowledge, precision, and patient-centered approach to every case. He is highly regarded for his contributions to both clinical orthodontics and academic training, and remains committed to delivering outstanding care tailored to each patient’s needs.
